Tech Help & Troubleshooting Guides

You can follow the steps below to reset, but before starting, ensure that Outlook is not open. When you face issues related to the Outlook profile stuck on loading, there might be some hardware issues. So, make sure you turn off the hardware acceleration option in Outlook. Follow the steps below to reset the navigation panel and fix the loading profile issue. I’m having an issue with one Outlook 365, the program open and get stuck at loading the user profile, any profiles. Microsoft Outlook is an excellent application with a wide range of features.

Find solutions to common problems or get help from a support agent. Once you are in the microsoft folder, delete the OneAuth and IdentityCache folders. You can also cut and paste them to a different location like your desktop. To do this, open Credential Manager from Control Panel by just typing the word Credential after hitting the Windows key. Notice everything that references Microsoft online, and all those “msteams” items, too. I think I’m going to try what I mentioned in my last post and see what happens.

No one should have to go through that type of frustration and aggravation. The biggest problem that I see with Microsoft 365 login is that the user has gotten confused as to what password they should be using. But it says Microsoft account when the login screen comes up, so they enter their personal login. Then they go back and forth entering corporate in the personal spaces and personal in the corporate spaces hoping for the best.

Gone are the days where this is an hours-long process. @scott-sa-spiceworks okay, I “edited” the passwords for Office to my current one in that credential box but 한국야동 아마추어야동 서양야동 일본야동 동양야동 중국야동 일본av 노모av 일본노모 야동공장 자막야동 야동자막 일본자막야동 일본야동자막 it did not help. It would be nice to know where that password is being cached, then I might be able to delete it. The following table lists known error codes for the “Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in” error message.

We’re sorry, but we cannot change your password at this time. If you are using an outdated web browser or Office app, it can create compatibility issues, which eventually lead to Microsoft 365 sign-in problems. Make sure to update them to the latest version and try again to fix Microsoft 365 login issues.

In business settings, group policies and conditional access rules can cause problems, too. Restrictions on device compliance, location, or sign-in risk might block you even if your password is correct. If your account is disabled or unlicensed, you won’t be able to get in until an admin fixes it. Expired subscriptions or suspended accounts are often behind these issues. On Windows, head to Credential Manager, remove any saved Office 365 entries, then try signing in again.

To work around the issue, you will need to end all Office processes that are running and disable the presence features. Restart the Outlook application and check if the issue persists. Further, start the application again to check if the error has been fixed. The software provides options to split the resultant PST file. You can set the size for the PST file, and the software will split it after recovery.

That’s good because that’s what you’ll try next. Note that it says “The app’s data will be deleted.” This does not include your files. My spreadsheets will still be there no matter what. What a reset does is reset settings, history, and perhaps more that is specific to the configuration of the program. A recovery file of your workbook also helps ensure you’ll have access to your data if your workbook is deleted accidentally or if it becomes corrupted.

You can test your password in a plain text field (not the login box) to see if it comes out right. The issue was with AD Connect it had reverted to using one of RODCs. We were upgrading our firewalls and both HQ/Production domain controllers were down so it latched on to the RODC.

If clearing credentials doesn’t do the trick, your Office installation might be corrupted. Running a repair can fix missing or damaged files without reinstalling everything. Clearing out old or wrong login info from the Windows Credential Manager is a good place to start.

Making a new profile helps make sure cached credentials or profile-specific glitches aren’t messing things up. If you’re still locked out of Office 365 with the correct password, the issue probably isn’t your account. We often see problems with cached credentials, a corrupted Office install, or some configuration error in Windows 11. If you forget your Microsoft 365 password, use the “Forgot my password” option on the Microsoft sign-in page. Enter your email address and follow the verification steps, such as receiving a security code via email or text. Ensure your new password meets Microsoft’s security criteria for added protection.

A good idea would be to delete profile or alternatively to create a new user profile and try to login to O365 account. Completing the above steps resolves a large majority of typical sign-in and activation problems. If the issue persists, Microsoft has created a dedicated tool called Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA) to automate many troubleshooting tasks. If the license is valid and assigned correctly, the next steps involve checking network-related blocks and performing initial device-level troubleshooting. There’s quick repair, which I’ve never had success with and Online Repair, which I’ve always had success with.
